Welcome to the Sudhan Educational Conference UK (SEC UK), a community interest organization (CIO) Charity Registration No.1197473, dedicated to promoting education and socio-economic development. With our roots dating back to 1934, when Colonel Khan Mohammed Khan- IDSM, also known as Khan Sahib, established the Sudhan Educational Conference in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, we have been at the forefront of community development.
Our mission is to advance education and socio-economic development by providing training, knowledge transfer, and support for income-generation activities in the UK and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Pakistan-administered. We envision an educated, entrepreneurial, and prosperous society.
As one of the earliest community development associations in Poonch, the SEC started as a registered voluntary organization, serving Sudhnoti and Bagh and benefiting people from all backgrounds. We initiated social welfare and community development programmes through the “Muthi Aata” scheme, where households donated a handful of flour every day to support the SEC’s educational and community initiatives, empowering women and involving the entire community in our mission.
While the “Muthi Aata” tradition may have faded, the spirit and values behind it continue to guide us. We believe in upholding these principles in all our programs, projects, and actions, ensuring that those in need are always supported.
To further our cause, we invite individuals in the diaspora who wish to preserve the values and traditions of the Sudhan Educational Conference to join SEC UK.
Together, we can work towards achieving our vision and mission through four aims and sixteen objectives, which align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 1, 2, 4, and 8 for eradicating poverty, ending hunger, ensuring quality education, and promoting decent work and economic growth.
Join SEC UK today and become part of a community dedicated to creating sustainable economic and social benefits for local communities. Together, we can make a difference and build a brighter future.
